Hardware keyboards on mobile phones

And then some uppity moderator of some Discord channel for a niche mod for some game gets pissed at users for asking the same question repeatedly, when it's not obvious at all from any non-Discord source.

Looking at you, Our Summer Car -_-

I get your point, but Twitter is more analogous to Mastadon than to Lemmy.

I've been using chocolatey for years but TIL about winget. Cheers!

I'll probably continue using chocolatey due to supporting more packages, but good to know there's a built-in package manager in Windows now.

Same thing it does for any instution that loans out hardware, e.g. employers:

  • monitoring

  • remote lockdown / wipe

  • remote management of installed software

  • etc.

If you can post an image, you can post text, right?

Nice, how many miles? Did you buy it new, or how did it come to be yours?

The ads for emergency braking are the worst, like the dad who is looking in the rearview mirror at his daughter, and then Screeeech the car slams to a hault because pops wasn't paying attention. Everyone in the car has a sensible chuckle about it, and they go on with their day.

No: are you crazy? Wtf are you doing? You almost ran over that woman! Pay attention!

Mfer, YOU TRAINED THEM TO IGNORE IT

Remember when a self-driving car killed someone walking their bike in Arizona, while the car's "handler" was watching a movie on their tablet?

Yeah, the employee should have been paying attention, but it's not realistic to expect someone to stay alert for an 8-hour shift where the task is as monotonous as watching a car drive itself. That's why commercial transport drivers have mandated breaks and why two pilots are in charge of an airplane at a time.

To be clear, I am in favour of self-driving cars and don't think they need to be perfect, just better than the average human, but the companies training them need to have standards that are both realistic and safe.

Ah, in home electrical, a circuit generally means the same thing as electronics, but at 120V and around 15A (in North America).

So electrical network == circuit, got it.
