Congratulations on the Switch 2!

I've made the mistake of trying The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Switch 2 enhanced editions... So now I'm playing TotK again. I think in regards to the main story, I'm probably close to the ending. But I've been just enjoying stuff and not rushed to finish it. Initially I thought "what's the big deal with these updates? I can't even notice a difference". It turns out you have to manually go to the eShop and download them 😅 Once I installed the "Switch 2 Enhanced edition", I could definitely notice the difference! It does feel like a whole new experience on the Switch 2. My current objective is to get all the shrines, but -as usual- I get distracted constantly with side quests and discovering things I haven't seen yet. It's such a good game! And it plays amazing on the Switch 2.

I've been playing Mario Kart World and enjoying it. Online races are wild! Though I haven't checked out the recent update yet. I also went back to Mario Kart 8 for some online with a friend. I need to do some more of the Knockout Tour stuff, but it's also really fun to replay GP and go on Free Roam mode.

I also got Fast Fusion and I need to check out the latest update!

The gameplay trailers for this look really good. It seems like the physical release will be the full game on the cart and not "Game Key", so I might be getting it 🤔

In this video, Did You Know Gaming takes a look at the fascinating history of Nintendo's Virtual Boy. Despite the Virtual Boy's reputation of being am awkward failure, it's far from Nintendo's biggest mistake. It actually sold better than the Satellaview and 64DD, and gave developers some valuable experience making VR games.

After a long wait filled with mystery and suspense, the time has finally come: Chronicles of the Wolf is now available on Steam (PC), Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, and Microsoft Store. Developed by Migami and co-published by PixelHeart and PQube, this pixel-art metroidvania blends historical horror, French folklore, and challenging gameplay.

Get ready to dive into a dark and fascinating adventure.

And that’s not all: a limited physical edition, complete with exclusive goodies, will be unveiled soon for collectors and fans.

They're also adding documentary material to learn more about its history and the behind the scenes. Based on previous work by Digital Eclipse, it'll be worth it!

Personally I own them on GOG too, but I haven't figured out how to make them work fullscreen on Linux. And I prefer gaming on the couch in the TV or take the Switch with me anyway.

Yes! I had chocolate and orange cake. The pen stand was a pre-order bonus for DK Returns HD. Disappointed they're not doing anything for DK Bananza 😑

It was the same for me! I thought it looked interesting from what we had seen before, but I wasn't convinced. It looked like the concept was fun, but there wouldn't be enough to keep you entertained for long.

After watching the Direct, I'm definitely getting this on release day too! I also got some Zelda vibes, like I could spend a lot of time exploring the different stages (as I do in BotW and TotK).

That Mario Artist like mini-game with the sculptures looks like a fun time sink!

Cake's been acquired

[–] picandocodigo@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

No, I wasn't that interested in the last one because of that style. But this one looks way more fun to me!

[–] picandocodigo@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago (5 children)

Thank you! Guess I'll have to go get some cake 😁

[–] picandocodigo@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

This looks pretty cool!

Thanks! Yeah I don't plan to get rid of my Switch either. Mario Kart 8 and World are different enough that I think I will keep playing both. But I still play Mario Kart 64 too, so maybe I'm not a good example for this kind of thing!

Age of Calamity has so much content, I don't even know how far I am from 100% 😅 Every time I complete a thing, a few more show up on the map. I finished the main story and did plenty of the smaller quests, but I still have so many to go. And I'm at almost 40 hours in this new save file.
