I assume this doesn't mean matrix is completely offline now?

Dutch and French police on Tuesday shut down a major encryption service used by criminal gangs, saying it even outrivalled illegal communication tools previously cracked by law enforcement, the EU's judicial agency said.

"Made for criminals by criminals", police have been able to read messages sent on the MATRIX chat service for the last three months, Eurojust said in a statement.

Carl Olof Larsson was a Swedish painter representative of the Arts and Crafts movement. His many paintings include oils, watercolors, and frescoes. He is principally known for his watercolors of idyllic family life.

Larsson was born in the Gamla stan neighborhood of Stockholm, Sweden. His parents were extremely poor, and his childhood was not happy. After several years working as an illustrator of books, magazines, and newspapers, Larsson moved to Paris in 1877, where he spent several frustrating years as a hardworking artist without any success. Larsson was not eager to establish contact with the French progressive Impressionists; instead, along with other Swedish artists, he cut himself off from the radical movement of change. In his later years he suffered from bouts of depression.

Eric Rohman was born in Nyköping and grew up in Helsingborg. He was one of the very few people in Sweden who could make a living by only producing posters. He produced about 7,000 works, according to his own estimate.

Rohman’s brother was the manager of one of the big cinema chains and the need for posters was great. Rohman usually worked with few colors and did not spend much time on details, he had a great ability to quickly pick out the essentials.

Carl Ludvig Trägårdh (20 September 1861 – 5 June 1899) was a Swedish painter. From 1883 to 1884, he studied with Hermann Baisch (1846–1894) in Karlsruhe and with Joseph Wenglein (1845–1919) in Munich until 1885. He then moved to France where he became a resident for the rest of his life. He exhibited both in France (Bordeaux. 1891) and in Sweden (Helsingborg. 1897; Gothenburg. 1898) as well as at the World's Columbian Exposition during 1893 in Chicago.

I just finished watching this pbs doc:

The American Buffalo

https://www.pbs.org/kenburns/the-american-buffalo

It's actually about how the buffalo's decimation in the 1800s greatly accelerated the destruction of native American Indians' way of life. This shouldn't be news to anyone, but then again the show should be required viewing for every American, as a reminder.

It is. But it seemed a good time to remind the younger generation of how art can be used to push agendas in a very negative way. I expected a lot of discussion, which is one of the purposes of art.

If this doesn't belong here, just downvote it folks and I'll remove it.

She was born in Allegheny City, Pennsylvania (now part of Pittsburgh's North Side), but lived much of her adult life in France where she befriended Edgar Degas and exhibited with the Impressionists. Cassatt often created images of the social and private lives of women, with particular emphasis on the intimate bonds between mothers and children.
