not the dev so dont take my word for it but i assume all the frontend UI stuff is gonna be the mostly same, it's just the APIs being changed to Lemmy's that's how Sync turned out
did lemmy bug out or did you post this comment like 5 times?
the Google Photos app is actually supposed to be able to hook into the new android media picker, not sure what's taking them so long
