Of course people are obnoxious but the costs associated with transactions are unavoidable, this is the key point so many people don’t understand about minimum wage - transactions are difficult especially when consumers see little marginal benefit (if this fast food restaurant doesn’t cater to my every whim I’ll just go to their competitor next door) and corporations see little marginal revenue change with additional labor investment (if this employee doesn’t stop complaining i can just hire someone else)
