In this community AI is a rare exception, so isn't blocking a bit harsh? If AI is a total no-go for you, than that's fine, I don't intent to criticize. Just wanted to let you know in case you new in this community.

Only now I noticed the "Midjourney" at the bottom and checked the Pixiv again: the post is not marked as AI but it links to the background image, which is AI, but was also edited/recreated for this image.
I think the federation was more about interacting with other instances. Like creating issues and pull-requests without needing to create a new account for every instance.
I think this would be useful, as reporting bugs on GitLabs can be annoying if you have to create an account first.
