i took up drawing this year and enjoy it a lot, i'm not good at it quite yet but it is cheap to start, fun, you can do it pretty much anywhere, and it's given me a nice confidence boost tbh because i was always convinced it was something i could never do. i like that i'm always learning something new with it too, and progressing in a visible way. i'm not looking at it with the aim of making money though, it's for fun & good for my brain. highly recommend.

creaky wooden ship on stormy seas or rainy day steam train noises are so nice for me
nah i left mastodon so i could have my own sharkey instance instead 😎
i do have a bluesky account but i don't feel compelled to post on there much tbh. it's fine, but i found it a lot harder to actually find interaction there even when i was making effort. also the feed system is balls (many feeds i use are frequently broken) and they only recently implemented hashtags, which almost nobody seems to use? there are definitely things i like about it too (the more casual vibe, for one) but at the end of the day it is another corporate platform, which i would prefer to spend minimal time on.
Abigail, M3GAN, Orphan & Orphan: First Kill, Trap, The Popes Exorcist, Renfield

lately i got quite hooked on films of Piotr Szulkin as well as Nikos Nikolaidis, plus starting to dabble in Harun Farocki..i also want to go on an overdue trip further down the Gakuryu Ishii rabbithole tho
yes, this is my answer as well! as much of a nightmare the filming process was for everyone i think it's a legitimately good movie, not even "so bad it's good". it's utterly bonkers & the production design is absolutely off the chain and i love it.
