Ah let's see where that throne.com deal goes then, that'd be neat.
But I honestly don't mind the learnin', I was more just soliciting for good tips for this specific use case since I figured somebody's bound to be more clued in already ๐
I know surprising amounts about the technical side of lots of cryptocurrency projects because in another life I've worked on sort-of-related things, but like the idiot I am I never bought all that many of anything and haven't "handled" them in ages.
What would be good options for me if I just want to use my credit card to quickly buy whatever crypto and send it to any address I want? I did look at some sites a couple of days ago, but they were more for trading and didn't seem too great for this use case.
I never got into crypto even though I'm a huge nerd, so I have no idea which service is trustworthy and quick'n'easy to use.

Hopefully we can all figure out some way to get the donation thing sorted out so that it'd be easy to get monthly recurring stuff flowing, would make it more likely for you to get a steadier income from them.
It's a bit of a hassle to use if you don't otherwise, and I'm not sure there's any way to do no-hassle automatic monthly payments? At least personally the crypto stuff is a bit of a barrier for donations because of those two
Lots of people browsing all local communities probably downvoted posts in communities they weren't members of. In especially more niche communities this can mean that the downvotes from people who aren't in it can drown out the upvotes from people who are. Allowing only upvoting means that the number reflects who many people actually actively liked it
Edit: ah sorry, just read the comment from @justsillyme@lemmynsfw.com below and they said pretty much the same thing I did but better.

Thank you for all you do to keep the instance running. Migrations do have a tendency to sometimes go sideways, so it's nice that it went smoothly in the end even if it took more work than you expected.
