Mine was Ubuntu. I can't remember what version but they used to mail install discs to you.

I don't remember how I heard about it but you used to be able to order free Ubuntu disks. I got them to mail me one and I replaced Windows with it and never looked back.

When I make price signs at work I make sure the price shows taxes and bottle deposits. I think my store is the only one to do that. I manage a liquor store

I've been happy with my Thinkpad T480s. Got kubuntu loaded on it right now. Bought it refurbished on ebay.

StreetComplete. It's an easy way to improve openstreetmap wherever you are. https://f-droid.org/en/packages/de.westnordost.streetcomplete/

If you like transport related games, I encourage you to give it a try. I've sunk a lot of time into this game usually playing with mods. You can find it at https://www.openttd.org/

I went with a used Optiplex for my Plex server. I rarely transcode anything so I didn't need much power

I use nzb360 with my server. It's been great but the hard drives fill up fast
