You know you can become a member of the DNC right? You know that you have representatives on the DNC you can contact, right? You know you have influence on the DNC if you actually choose to exercise it, right?

In the US on Android, unencrypted SMS messaging comes default. How do you propose getting a technologically illiterate boomer to not use SMS?

Haha, have you read the books? It is a million times worse / more pretentious. The show was camp, which was at least kinda fun. Definitely an improvement anyway

Taiwan didn't just vote for Independence, they elected the China-skeptical candidate for President. It wasn't some Brexit-esque national referendum on Independence.

I feel like I could see that working for local positions, but you want your federal representatives to have experience governing, right? Like, work their way up, learning as they go? That means this isn't a fun hobby for them, it's a job. Are you telling these folks to spend years/decades building up their political career just to kamikaze it all for a single two year term (6 Senate unless they're recalled)? And if so, where should a person flame-out? Should they go down swinging on city council, or wait until they're a state senator, or wait until they're in US Congress etc.?

Unfortunately, Republicans don't need Democrats to invent ways for them to be fascist, they're quite capable of finding opportunities on their own

Polite reminder that third parties are not viable in a first past the post voting system, and that Democrats are the ones who have actually been instituting ranked choice voting (while Republicans are the ones taking it away & banning it)

Yeah that's something I've been thinking about lately. I worry about creating tools for them to misuse. But then again, Democrats didn't use faithless electors against Trump, they didn't try to violently steal an election- Republicans did that all on their own. So... 🤷🏼‍♂️

If a Dem candidate plots an insurrection, they should be removed from the ballot.

I like ButterPrime, who typically talks about entertainment media
