The machines haven't worked for me, so I just started opting out immediately as well, since that ends up being much faster. I don't understand the point of this.

Check out MXRoute. (Specifically the lifetime promo, though I've seen it on sale for cheaper.)

You could dual boot and find out. Or even do a live session and play around.

There are some domain names that have requirements but nothing like you're thinking. The only one I would automatically consider as providing useful information would be .gov.

I always forget that. Instinct is to put things in the center.

Depends on the sandwich. If you're constructing a sandwich without using heat, I would consider that "making lunch" or "making dinner" but not explicitly cooking. I'm not sure that the difference matters in any significant situations, though. Why are you asking?

Phone, yes: your battery can explode / light an intense fire. Watch, depends on the watch.

If it's stuff you already own, the income would be based on the difference between what you paid for it and what you get for it. Likely, you're selling at a loss, so that's not income.

Notes: IANAL and have never been on unemployment.

Take a look at Rhasspy.*

*Will take a lengthy setup. Maybe look at S.E.P.I.A.?

Check out Discord's Webhooks; many applications publish notifications through them. Should be as easy as sending a message to a specific URL, I think.

I believe you're looking for Christmas tree farms.

Also, there are so many year-round Christmas shops.

Also also, Spirit is mostly for costumes, which aren't relevant to Christmas.

Does anyone know if it's possible to have events from the Keybow keyboard cause effects on the Pi Zero W running the keyboard instead of outputting to another machine? Or do I need to go with a different OS and figure out the handling of the keys myself?

Integrated Login? (infosec.pub)
submitted 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) by TheButtonJustSpins@infosec.pub to c/selfhosted@lemmy.world

So, I have a bunch of services behind Authelia, utilizing LDAP hosted on my NAS. I log in once and it carries through my other services that are secured by Authelia, which is great.

However, since my wife rarely visits these services - mostly when I send her links - she has to log in basically every time. I've contemplated putting our laptops on a network login backed by the same LDAP, though I haven't started researching how to do that yet. If I do, though, is there a way to have the laptop login integrate with Authelia or another solution to prevent login prompts?

I know I could do it with Windows and AD, but we're both on Linux, so that complicates things a bit.

So, I watched a TV show a while ago and have forgotten what it's called and can't find it. Anyone have any ideas on this one?

  • Woman is going through something rough and a person gives her a card and is like come talk to me
  • That person functions kind like a therapist but there's something mystical going on
  • There are doors that go to other places
  • Her therapist retires after a season or two
  • She starts helping others in the same way
  • There's a bartender that does the same thing at some point

Maybe not much to go on, but I'm hoping someone recognizes it.

Edit: It's Lovesick! Thank you, @magic_window@lemmy.world!

Hi! I'm hoping someone can help me out. I'm trying to find a show I streamed a while ago. Here's what I remember:

  • It was a British show
  • Two guys were roommates; I think the apartment was messy
  • They had a woman friend
  • One of the roommates and the friend were in love but they kept having bad timing
  • I think the other friend was a manager at a company?
  • I think the woman had to move in with them at some point?
  • There was a guy named Jono (sp?) who kept saying, "I'm Jono"

I want to be able to control my thermostat from my phone, so I'm looking for recommendations for one that meets the following:

  • Works with no network access (as in, I can access it but it can't access anywhere else, enforced via VLAN on my firewall)
  • Lets me control my single apartment thermostat (temperature, heat/cool, maybe programming but it's okay if I have to do that on the unit directly)
  • Not hundreds of dollars
  • No microphone

Any thoughts? Really just want something simple.

Edit: I have no other smart home devices right now, if that matters.

I wasn't sure where to ask this, so please feel free to direct me to a different community if there's a good one for this question.

Are there any US banks that allow their clients programmatic access to their own data? As far as I'm aware, that's not really a thing in the US, but I might be willing to switch banks if there are any that provide access.

Basically, which linux distro is the best for a non-power user? Someone who wants to be able to get up and running without having to learn how to manage the OS using the cli.

Quick example: When I install a new OS, the first thing I want to do is install Brave. That should be as easy as "click on this thing, type in brave, select Brave, install."
