Yup, Ford has been cutting funding to public health, just like Smith in Alberta. Remember: public health is provincial. This is why I did not vote for Ford in the last 3 provincial elections.

I agree with you. Conservatives purposely being vague all the time so they can deny their words later. They are purposely being vague so their base can then "fill in the blanks" with whatever spin they wish.

Few days ago. Went birding in a wetland conservation area. Tons of birds. Megatons of bugs.

I agree with you. In its current state, LLM is not sentient, and thus not "Intelligence".

Keywords: Electoral candidates and nomination. Foreign influence. Security check.

TLDR: I have always believed that our prime minister candidates should complete their security clearance to ensure they are not under foreign influences. This petition sponsored by Robert Morrissey will be a good start. I implore all Canadians to show their support to protect our democracy from foreign influences. Thank you.

Petition to the House of Commons in Parliament assembled

Whereas:

National security is a fundamental concern for all Canadians, and public confidence in the integrity of political leaders is essential to a functioning democracy;

Recent events have raised legitimate concerns about foreign influence and potential security risks within Canadian political parties, requiring urgent and proactive safeguards;

Transparency and accountability in assessing political candidates and party leaders are crucial to ensuring that those who seek to govern are acting in the best interests of Canada and its people;

We, the undersigned, citizens and residents of Canada, call upon the House of Commons to1. Direct appropriate national security and intelligence agencies to conduct a comprehensive review of potential security risks associated with political leadership in Canada, ensuring all candidates for party leadership and high office undergo security vetting;2. Develop and implement mechanisms to enhance transparency in the vetting process of political candidates, increasing public confidence while maintaining legal and privacy protections;3. Strengthen national safeguards against foreign interference in Canadian democratic institutions and commit to ensuring that all elected officials meet the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and national loyalty.

Yea, I don't get why the poor supporting conservatives who would cut all the social support programs that the poor needs.

Start seeing this "both sides are the same" followed by "may as well just stay home" posts which ring like the cons bots/ trolls astro-turfing trying to swing the election for conservative. Happened in usa and now it's happening here in Canada.

I'm not going to be one of those usa voters who decided to vote for Jill Stein because "Democrat is not perfect". They (along with those who couldn't even be bothered to vote) are partly to blame for the second trump regime. Canada sovereignty is at stake. Our way of life is at stake in this election. Until we got an electoral reform to replace "First Past the Post", I am going to continue to vote strategically against conservative. pierre and conservative win will be a nightmare for Canada because they cannot be trusted to put Canada and Canadians over usa, billionaires and corporations' profit.

NDP is dear and near to my heart but in this coming election, I'm voting for and donating to my local Liberal candidate.

Alberta and Saskatchewan are the sunniest provinces in Canada. If they embrace solar energy, they could be the Solar Capital of Canada.

But, think of those poor, poor big oil CEOs! /s

Me too. So please everyone go out and vote on April 28 (or early poll if you wish). Go to Election Canada (https://www.elections.ca/home.aspx) and make sure that you are registered to vote at your current address.

My riding is a conservative stronghold, but I'm still going to vote for my local Liberal candidate. As soon as Election Canada received my local Liberal candidate's nomination application, I'm planning to scrape together some funds and donate to them.

  1. The parents are equally shitty, and/or,
  2. By the time kids reach teenage years, they will mostly listen to social media than parents. They will live their lives on social media and thus, acceptance and opinions of social media "frens" matter more than their parents.

Thinking of what else someone like me (an older person) could do in order to prepare myself to support Ontario in emergencies. I came across Ontario Corps. Posting it here just in case it is something that interests you.
