They put Bluetooth in our apartment complex laundromat and if you don't have a smart phone or Internet service on your phone, you don't do laundry.

I'm aware of that, I was referring to how the extreme left tends to overcompensate for social injustices.

Granted, the actual definition of "woke" is a far cry from what the media, especially you tubers and the Twitter mob make it out to be. People on both sides but especially the right call it the "woke virus", when wokeism is basically just being aware of the societal pressures put on people of different races, genders etc.

I stopped watching network television because of ads, then I stopped watching free streaming because of too many ads (Pluto TV, Crackle), I get a basic subscription to Paramount through Walmart and I stopped watching that because of the ads. I have an Amazon prime subscription because I get it for one half off but I rarely use prime video an if they start showing ads, I won't use it at all.

I'm 64 and still pretty far left, except I don't get into the whole "woke" thing. The extreme left is a bit wacko but not as wacko as the extreme right.

Have to make sure you let people know that liberals are all socialists and hate capitalism

The original post there was about somebody who had to pay back $6000 to the food stamp office because there was a year's worth of overpayments. I said that even though the error was no fault of his own, he still had to pay it back. That is in fact true and I found myself permanently banned 30 minutes later.

I just find it strange that you can get banned for life just because you made one comment that the mods did not like. It's not like I called the guy a scumbag or loser and that he should go to jail or something equally vindictive.

I think it's about time to finally leave Reddit. I've been there for almost 15 years and I just got my first permanent ban from a legal advice sub for one single comment. I'm not sure what I said wrong because I never use inflammatory language. Oh well, I already left Twitter, time to bail on Reddit too.

Or a successful politician

I think the "invisible hand of the market" swats more people than it helps.

How do you know if somebody has Linux on their desktop?… They'll tell you. I'm currently on Windows 10 Pro but have used a number of different Linux distros since the mid-90s. I also had to have Windows because of work requirements but now that I'm retired, I may go back to Debian or Kali.

I'm pretty far left politically and I can think of a number of similarities between the two parties. The dynamics are very much the same in certain cases but the ideology driving it is different.
