Yeah, I just finished the book. It was alright, It was 100% a teen book.

There must be some type of future / alternate reality tech that helps power the heater. Though a small heater would quickly warm up a tiny room, so maybe he turns it on for five minutes every hour.

Is a water pick as effective as flossing? I assume it gets stuck food out just fine, but plaque?

I would assume you'd feel the temperature, though your hand would not change the liquids temperature. Think about walking into a hot room, you feel the heat.

If you were drifting through the vacuum of space without a spacesuit, would you not freeze? Not sure if this comparison works though.
