Energy needs can be met and shouldn't be an argument for using plastic.

The pollution could be more dependending on how you look at that statement, but making something without plastic results in less plastic pollution and you can't claim that to be an overall loss for the earth.

This is why the American system is superior. You have the freedom to get cancer if you want, you just have to pay for it yourself instead of relying on handouts from govmunt. Don't tread on me.

For some people perhaps. I sadly still go to an office occasionally and I'm astonished that there are people clearly unwell coughing and sneezing all over the place. Last time I went I came back with Covid and was out for nearly a week.

Isn't this because most waste is passed onto the consumer?

I can't buy singles of most vegetables in my local supermarket (part of why I don't go there unless I need to). I don't need 12 lemons for the one recipe that needs zest of lemon but I have to get them and find ways to use the others.

If I can buy singles, it's deliberately priced so you have to pay way over what you should. Most people can't afford that or aren't wired to pay more for less when less is actually appropriate for their needs.

Then there's 3 for 2 deals, which seems to always be on stir fry kits that you have to use right away.

My country also recently stopped putting use by dates on food, which means stuff that previous would have been wasted in the store still gets sold and so more likely is wasted at home.

I've had ones so severe I thought my tendons were going to snap, waking me up in the middle of the night and I'm screaming and doing sympathy whines pleading for mercy. I have genuine fear of the bed time calf and/or foot cramp.

I get surveys at work asking me how much I believe the workplace aligns with company value x, y, z etc. Every question I just respond : I don't have an opinion. I literally have no clue and do not care, I'm here to get paid.
