Without the services I mentioned it's pretty hard to get around, and people use of on reddit uses those methods, and they pay, and it's not 100%. I used to create new accounts at a university library computer, so they almost never catch on if one receives a subreddit ban. Their AI looks for posting pattern writing style as well, so they are looking at everything you do, not just IP.

Yes apparent the app gives them even more info, like you device id , components, Mac address, and it has a anti-vpn measure built in, unlike the browsers

I'm hearing new users are having a hard time doing that, even if they are not vpn, ban evading or shielding their online metrics from reddit. The spam filter is so aggressive that you can be banned very easily

I have a feeling they want to be like Facebook, with the aggressive personal info you have to give in order to login, they can lock the content behind the login feature like fb does

Yes they automatically ban vpn users most of the time, I think that's why the OF accounts use rotating proxies, mobile proxy servers, they couple it with anti detection browsers, they have to change ips, or reddit catches on. This is from another site, even they are getting caught still, due to redditsn recent ban wave, I also noticed many subs had increased their filtering of "spammy comments"

they do see the advertising revenue from/per user more than the prenium accounts. seems like they are trying to copy facebook model.

enshittification.

late reply, but i found another account inquery, incase that dint work, for old bans.

not the only one, i was part of the ban/purges of febuarary, and some of 5+years got hit. 1 was currently suspended(i accidentally deleted) suddenly all my accts were hit with bans at once, around the same time the all the subs had increased thier spam filtering, and threshold to comment, apparently it immediately flags your acc as spam, if your comment gets autoremoved. there has been at least 3 big ban purges since nov of accounts. apparently they will get you if you made an acct years ago and then banned from a sub, but they decided to make a new account and forget it about it years later, and accidentally commented in said sub, your accounts get targeted. punishing redditors for accounts they deleted and forgot more than a year+ ago, is something new.

i had to filter that sub out when i was on reddit. why is conservative and other conservative sub on the front page all the time.

and then, get exclusive content, from reddit+ prenium.

or they allowed subs, but with immense amount of ads: require to watch video, or watch this ad for a certain of time to use it for free. just basing it off how aggressively youtube, facebook does it.
