Why double down on this of all things? It's not even necessarily about a medical condition (but it's that too, for many of us it's not a skill issue but a heart and lung issue), it's about the fact that biking up a hill can be fucking hard and I wouldn't begrudge anyone for not wanting to do it all the time living in a hilly city, let alone if they're trying to get home after working all day and are dead tired. The person who you were first responding to, who was asking in good faith from everything I can tell, also said "how do elders deal with what other citizens would take for granted in terms of mobility?" You completely disregarded that. Would you tell your 80 year old grandparent just to bike harder in their hilly city? This is a totally legitimate concern and responding "skill issue, just bike harder" really is heading into some ableist territory.

Also, too bad this place isn't moderated, getting hard to choose between it and Reddit

Then go back to reddit then and spare us your concern troll moaning in support of a genocidal ethnostate. Any violence done by Palestinians is self defense at this point.

Also, this place is heavily moderated, it's just not an echo chamber where you're going to see nothing but opinions identical to your own (dogshit) worldview. Yes, your first comment was removed, as well it should have been. farquaad-point

The reason that one version of the "go off" phrase (identical in every way to the other except for one word that specifies gender) might feel to you like it has different connotations is because we live in a patriarchal society that doesn't assign value the same across all genders. That's not an excuse to use the version of that phrase which misgenders someone.

And your example is really weird and obscures what's actually at issue. The difference in meaning between the words "bros" and "sissies" goes way beyond just a difference in gender. One is a common and generally affectionate term that men call each other when being friendly. The other is most often used as misogynistic term to insult men by disparaging their masculinity.

Ukraine has lost. They are not getting their separatist regions back.

[citation needed].

Points at the utter failure of the joke of a counteroffensive to even breach Russia's first line of defense after months of hype about retaking Crimea

In any case Ukrainians disagree with you and keep on fighting.

You mean the ones forced to fight because they were kidnapped off the street and will be shot if they try to leave? Or the fascists that are in charge?

Heck even if Russia occupied all of Ukraine they'd keep on fighting.

Part of the reason why Russia does not want to occupy all of Ukraine.

It's not in your hands whether they fight or not,

Nor yours, but it is in the hands of NATO leadership who have stymied peace negotiations at every opportunity.

and their motive is just

so why not help them?

Why would we want to help people get forced into a meat grinder?
