We have a lot more access to birth control, abortions, and entertainment than those in countries such as El Salvador. I visited it a couple of years ago, and it is a beautiful country with beautiful people. But, there was not a lot to do until recently as they started to clear out the gangs. So, when there’s nothing to do, people fuck.

(Edit: Also, even though our education has gone greatly downhill, we still have access to it. Many male Salvadorans couldn’t even attend school past a certain age for fear of being taken by the gangs.)

Yes! Same with pets.

Yes, i believe it requires an attachment to the ego. I’m starting to lean towards the lesson from the 1983 film “War Games” in which it is better to not even play the game.

Interesting. Thanks for the education and conversation!

Yes, and I agree. I think this war will actually be won with intellect. It is pretty obvious which side leads on that front.

You could also put it in a Bible. Despite being the “religious” right, many of them would never pick the book up. At least, in my experience.

Ah, ok. So, they could work on say, one big piece of something for a rich person and stretch it out for a year, versus doing 6-12 for people over the same period of time?

My wife and I are 47 & 50, and were fortunate enough to retire early due to the unfortunate death of both of her parents over the last few years. We have never once regretted our decision to not have kids. If we had, we would have created the same traumas that were created in us, instead we have had the time to heal them.

We would have preferred to still have her parents around, as we still would have been able to retire earlier than most. But, had we had children, we wouldn’t have been able to retire with the same inheritance.

Sounds like they got greedy, huh? Money corrupts.

Hey friend, you bring up very good points, and i was making a broad generalization. But, did the arts & craft movement really price themselves out, or were they undercut by the same types of shenanigans that we see today by these evil corporations? We’re on the same side, let’s not be divisive.
