Similarly Blind Guardian's cover of Mr Sandman

I just beat it yesterday. Took me about 115 hours but I enjoyed most of my time in that except for the last bits of side content which I thought weren't balanced that well. I think it's definitely a polarizing game but if you like it then it's probably the best Final Fantasy game to come out in the past 20 years.

If you're not enjoying it though then just drop it. It's just a video game at the end of the day.

Dragon Ball was the first manga I read. I still own every volume of the original series and Z that I bought when I was a kid. It probably took me a year or two to collect and save up for each one. I read the series so many times when I was a kid and played every single game of it that I could get my hands on. The anime wasn't on tv where I grew up so that was the only way for me to experience it. I was absolutely addicted to the series. It's probably one of the most formative pieces of media in my life and shaped who I am today.

Introducing friends to Dragon Ball, pretending to be Goku or Vegeta with my friends and not so pretend fighting, reading it on long car journeys, buying Dragon Quest because it looked like Dragon Ball and so many more. Thank you Toriyama for all of those memories.

Gonna wait to play this till the definitive edition is out. Learned my lesson with Persona 5 and Royal.

I'm looking forward to and dreading this at the same time. I really enjoyed Elden Ring but eventually got burnt out playing it after Leyndell and just started googling what I'd missed and doing it before finishing the game.

I hope this dlc is more focused and not another 150 hours of content. I'd be more than happy with 20 - 30. Also show us Miquella!

Yeah, agree. That's why I think just having a fun time expansion could be good. Although harder to make players care if the stakes are low I guess?

I personally won't be playing this expansion for a while anyway. Maybe next year when I have more free time so I'll get to see the general consensus before going in. Hope it's good.

Love this trailer. It gives off a pretty chill vibe and will hopefully give the scions a much needed break after Endwalker.

Though personally I thought Endwalker was a good stopping point I get that this is an mmo so there can never really be an end. I'm pretty sure even FFXI is still getting new content!

Just started showing Brooklyn 99 to my girlfriend. We're only on season 2 now but she loves it and always cracks up at his delivery. He played Raymond Holt perfectly and made him one of my favorite characters on the show.

61 is too young. RIP

Looking forward to this. I don't think ragnarok is as good as 2018 but the gameplay in this is good and looking forward to any more story/lore updates in this universe. Especially anything related to Greek mythology!

Interesting seeing the upvote/downvote ratio? Anyone wanna enlighten me or is Joseph just polarizing?

[–] FullFridge@sh.itjust.works 4 points 9 months ago

Agreed, people on here can't seem to understand how this product could be successful? Every post about it on here has the same upvoted comments about how people should get a Steam Deck instead. If someone comments about why they like it or are happy with it, it gets downvoted.

Personally I probably won't ever buy one of these but to act like your opinion about something as unimportant as a this is better than everyone else's screams of reddit to me. Why not just let people be happy with their purchase?

Yeah, I think that's why I didn't have an issue with it. I remember only doing maybe 1 or 2 of the barrels in the water in Skellige. I mostly used the question marks as small distractions as I went from one quest to another. I never focused on clearing them out.

You're right that most of the items weren't that rewarding to get. It's mostly just busy work. Hopefully rebirth keeps that stuff to a minimum and just has a large map with cool locations and unique well written side quests. Maybe a few collectibles scattered around the map to reward exploration too.
