Those are the particular interactions for which I have used usernames. People I know have me in contacts. Also, iirc, if I change usernames in the middle of a conversation that conversation is able to continue until I delete it. Plenty of time to pass on a new name if desired.

And that is exactly why I find it unusable. I have a 120 Hz phone slowed down to a hideous 60 Hz. This is why use Firefox instead of mull.
I don't disagree with you either. But I think that when people give their phone number to a business they are often unaware of all of the nefarious ways it will be used, whether by ignorance or deception.
My point is just that replaceable usernames are perfect for random people you meet IRL or on the Internet because it's minimal trouble to disconnect permanently when the time comes.
I have given names to people on the Internet and changed names after our conversation was finished. I think that is much better than giving someone a phone number and much easier to change.
I suppose that's why you can accept the message or not. I believe they can be reused.
Cool. Do you know Elvira's handle?
I know it's intended, but I find it unusable. Report what you want, but disconnect from the actual refresh rate. Best of both worlds.
It would be perfect except that the fingerprint protection includes forcing the screen refresh rate to the lowest common denominator. Scrolling is unbearable.
They need to report whatever number they want while always using the highest rate instead.
Signal has read receipts, reactions and typing indicators. That's 90% of what any messenger needs. It also let's you schedule texts. I do wish it would do reminders and pinch to resize text though.
And if they force a particular DNS they're is a reason for that and I don't use that Wi-Fi
Does Firefox standard fingerprint resistance include the refresh rate? Because I use Firefox over mull on Android because of the drastic difference when scrolling.
