Empyrion: Galactic Survival is not exactly what you wish for, but it's an alternative to Space Engineers. Not as detailed on the building part though, but a bit more Rust-like (imo).
I really hoped Jalopy would scratch the itch but it was not good enough. Shame.
Godot game engine without a doubt.
Shallow Ground terrified me. I've had nightmares for a while after that.
An honourable mention: The Pirates of Dark Water - The Beast and the Bell. Fuck Keroptus.
All of my casual browsing is done now exclusively on Lemmy. If I look for an answer or an opinion that’s when I dip into Reddit.
For now it feels like a nicotine patch, but in a good way.
Or you can stream it to your phone/laptop/android tv via GFN. As long as you bought it on Steam and your internet connection is ok.
