Oh this is GENIUS. Make it obviously ridiculous so misinformation doesn't actually get out. Something like "if you don't have eggs for a cake, just substitute them for bacon and sweet potato fries! Make sure you mix them thoroughly with the butter and itll turn out great"

Yes and it lacks a simple explanation. "Insta is pictures and reels" "Twitter is short sentences or images". "Ah well lemmy is a selection of instances that etc etc etc" puts people off

I haven't and I won't. Lemmy is a far more positive atmosphere with less content, but better quality content. There's less overt manipulation and not everything is politicised. I just don't trust reddit
To me your comment was clearly a joke. There's nothing serious about it, you're not rallying others, there's no vitriol or aggression. Warn or shadow ban, fine. Perma ban is excessive.
I think everyone should spam reddit with these so called "violent" posts. So they have to ban all active accounts. Then they'll realise they're being ridiculous
FFS that's ridiculous. If you'd said that was all you were banned for a few months ago I'd have thought you were lying. But that ban is standard now.
