Tbh, i just find most ppl lacking the skill to properly explain especially abstract things like math.

Exactly, explaining something again and again In the same way and expecting that somehow it will begin to work is so goddamn stupid. Obviously if one angle doesn't work you have to try a different one.

I use to tutor elementary school kids. The two things that worked for me A) using physical objects as much as possible and B) positive reinforcement (normally via some sneaky candy without their parents knowing). You'd be surprised what a kid will do for a single Skittle

Math / logic problems really benefit from talking breaks and letting your brain catch a breather.

3 x 30 min sessions per day will be more fruitful than 1x 1.5h full blast.
