CNN —

A pond in Hawaii looks like something right out of a fairy tale. Water at the Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge, one of the few coastal salt marshes on the island of Maui, has been bright pink since at least October 30, officials say, after its salt content surged amid an extreme drought.

There's a glitch in the matrix?

I think it’s all glitch now.

Oh, I just love how colorful Hawaii is... the brown vegetation, the magenta ponds, the grey ocean...

Never heard of this series, but I see it’s a 40 year old series with 7 books planned and book 5 announced 8 years ago with no release in sight. Reminds me of ASOIAF

There is a lake that was pink for a long time in Australia. It hasn't been pink for a while recently, but it was pink. In a shade not unlike this. Might be a similar situation.

[–] WhoresonWells@lemmy.basedcount.com 1 points 10 months ago

Is Hiller Lake not pink anymore?
