Just a word of caution for other people: The latest iOS 17.1.1 might break wired charging and touch screen functionality on the 15 Pro Max. I was one of the unlucky ones, for whom charging and touch screen stopped working after installing the update and rebooting. Side buttons work fine, but touch screen does nothing and the phone will only charge with wireless charging.

Currently doing DFU restore to see if this fixes the issue..

Edit: DFU restore fixed the phone and backup was a couple of hours ago, so not a big loss. Hopefully future updates are less buggy.

It’s only touch functionality that is broke.. Like, you can turn the volume up and down again, perfectly normally.

Quiet, Loud, Quiet again. Little bit louder.

No problemo.

Oh, so it's only touch that's broke. No biggie then. Just send messages with the volume buttons via Morse code.

Definitely. Was on multiple public betas of different iOS versions on my previous 11 Pro Max, but never had any issue that was this major on any of them.

Wow never seen so many big issues on a flagship iphone like the 15.

Same here on the iPhone 15 Pro (no Max). Reboot fixed my charging issue but then I got the touch screen issue. Let phone drain to 0% and let it boot from an empty battery. That seems to have fixed it for me, although it got quite hot for a while next to the bottom of the camera bump, near where the microphone hole sits.

Thanks for letting me know. Will hold off on upgrading hopefully until it is hotfixed.
