Isn't this built into the Android OS already? I assume iOS has a similar feature

My phone doesn't have it because Motorola is dead and lenovo is puppeting its corpse like a drunken monkey..
That was my first thought - but maybe this does a better job? Plus it can apparently be used for any device, so it might prolong the life of, say, noise-canceling headphones, book lights, and portable speakers.
At least my Pixel does this "adaptive charging" when an alarm is set where it slowly charges overnight to be full when the alarm goes off.
my pixel 8 since I took it out of the box I charge it between 20% to 80% and use a peltier cooler so it doesn't heat up too much and decreases the battery life
