Not to be too much of a dick but maybe a lot people never wanted to see his episodes again and they just didn't get preserved

You're not a dick, Kilborn was! But I enjoyed him and I'm down for nostalgia.

lol, thanks. yeah, Kilborn was kind of dick

It never existed. Mandela effect.

I'm beginning to wonder

I have noticed shows like this tend to be hard to find. There's just a lot of them and less replayability I suppose than narrative shows. For certain ones youtube actually has a lot (jay leno and craig ferguson) due to dedicated archiving effort by fan channels but idk about Kilborn. If I find anything I'll comment again

As a workaround someone posted here about downloading YT videos and importing them into sonarr with some automated tools a few days ago.

There aren't many full episodes there! One or two.

Not trying to hijack here but I've encountered this as well with a tv show called Gringolandia, I think it was on Netflix. Was a super funny show about 6 episodes long and I can't find it anywhere.

I'd be happy to find any season at all

All torrent searches I can name, private trackers (I have 4), archive.org, YouTube, general searches.

No joy.

How did you search archive.org? I see several hits on https://archive.org/search?query=subject%3A%22Craig+Kilborn%22

For example this full episode: https://archive.org/details/kilborn.-0743

A fair number of them are "streaming only" due to them being some sort of agreement between archive.org and CBS.

I also see some on Youtube, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YR1fJIqpVrI

BitTorrent does seem to be completely dead. bt4gprx is a very thorough DHT search, so it will find basically anything on a public server that's actually being seeded, https://bt4gprx.com/search?q=Craig+Kilborn and it has no hits for the Late Late show, (but a few other appearances by Craig Kilborn on other shows.)

Yes, I saw one or two episodes (and episode segments), random, on both Archive and YouTube. It looks like you found 8: I believe i saw they were there but spotty, and I'm trying to find an actual source.

Does CBS have an archive?

[–] infinull@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 5 days ago

Presumably CBS/Paramount does have the recordings in a vault somewhere... but it's probably not worth it for them to put them on Paramount+ (Who knows what will happen when they go bankrupt). As it is you're limited to the few episodes individuals bothered to tape, and then digitize.

[–] Melatonin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 6 days ago

I just checked again and most of those are from around 9-11-2001, which means they're recordings of the news about the world trade center and not actually craig kilbourne at all.

[–] Fiery@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 6 days ago

If you're on private trackers you could try asking there. Most trackers have some sort of request system.

Which trackers? Easier to help you if you give where you already searched
