You should have had him arrested when you still had presidential immunity, Joe.
Technically the SCOTUS gave immunity for official acts only.
Official acts being clearly outlined as up to the sole discretion of...

The SCOTUS.
They said it was to be determined by a lower court. It was sent back to a lower court and Trump was convicted. But the judge ruled that no penalty should be applied because of the SCOTUS ruling on presidential immmunity and it was up to the DOJ to prosecute. The DOJ is under direct presidential control and by then Trump was in power.
SCOTUS could have prosecuted Trump directly, but as always, they deliberately slow walked it so the case would disappear. Which is exactly what they are going to do with all the current cases.
His handlers told him to sit and wait until it was Donnie's turn to make them money so that's what he did.
Maybe the people on social security should stop voting for rapists/terrorists/felons/morons...?

Hey at least the one and only time he went low and broke decorum was so he could pardon his own son. And the other 1200 people a week later when he realized how bad the optics were.
And just to get ahead of those people. I'm not necessarily mad he pardoned his son. I'm mad there only time he broke decorum was for his own personal interests and not the American people's.
That's what makes me mad, too. That and the genocide.
One official act during the debate and you could have prevented all this Joe.
It didn't even have to be official. He's old enough he would have died of old age before seeing jail time.

On one hand, he's not wrong.
On the other hand, he can fuck off. He had internal polling showing him losing in a landslide and he still hung on for far too long afterwards, sabotaging efforts to build a winning campaign by the eventual nominee. Biden is the man who lost the fucking republic through his vanity and hubris.
Biden is the guy that was given the biggest stick in history, and then just meekly handed over to one of the worst bullies in history.

Yeah, when the SC hands you unlimited power while a fascist dictator is waiting for his second chance at office... You use that fucking power.
I don't think anyone wants to hear from Biden at this point. He by all accounts did his level best to put his ego ahead of the good of the people of the country which did nothing but help further Trump's talking points.

Nonetheless, the problem lies in the system. If 1/3 is for, 1/3 is against, and 1/3 don't vote, there's something wrong. And there is, and a specific party has been doing voter supression for a decade and more. Why has this been allowed?

It's takes like this that lead people to conclude that Americans deserved 9/11 for what their government did in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, etc etc up to Iraq in the gulf war. Or that Israelis deserved October 7th for what their government did during the nakba, sabra and shatila, etc etc. Americans did not deserve 9/11, Israelis did not deserve October 7th. They are not complicit in the crimes of their rulers. Especially when you operate in a two party system where both parties are completely and utterly beholden to billionaires.

I guess it all starts making sense when you look closer at it. The education level in that country really is circling the drain.

Trump won with less than 30% of the population’s vote. And even now, he only has an ~30% approval rating. It certainly isn’t “all” Americans. It isn’t even “most” Americans. But sure, speaking about an entire country as a single monolith makes the circlejerk easy.
He won with less than 30% of the populations vote because most Americans decided facism wasn't that bad so they stayed home. People who didn't vote for Harris or encouraged others not to vote for Harris looked at what Trump was selling and decided they'd like to buy.
Don't forget the hundreds of bomb threats against voting locations in blue districts. Or the hundreds of thousands of voters that were de-registered without their knowledge. Or the fact that getting an ID can take up to 6 months, even for a renewal. Or that voting locations were redistributed out of blue cities and into red suburbs.
I'm not sure I buy that teh election was stolen with rigged tabulation. But millions of votes were suppressed, especially in swing states.
Half the country beleives their vote doesn't matter, and based on the data it doesn't.
I voted because I like the illusion of activism it provides like everyone else, but I know my vote isn't counted and doesn't matter. So I can't blame people when they say they don't care enough to vote.
