Exact opposite here. My mom is riddled with auto immune disorders and my dads genes look like a ransom note, but here I am perfectly ~physically~ healthy.

When my dad asked me when I'm going to meet a woman and start a family I responded with "first of all I couldn't afford to start a family, second I have your DNA and mom's DNA, I'm a genetic minefield. I honestly think it would be a hate crime to pass that on.". A few years later I got my dog and dad and his wife call her "the grandpuppy" and they get her treats and toys for Christmas and her birthday.
