Depending on how well the USA resists Trump we might honestly be at the bottom of the dip.

I think you want to be overweight so you can survive the famine times. I'm in great shape right now and ripped, but if we face food shortages I'm either going to die quickly or have to start eating the fat people.
Never underestimate the value of good cardio health.
Being able to trudge for long periods of time in difficult terrain is a very useful skill.
Bonus points for knowing how to navigate without digital technology, where we're going we don't want to geo-pin ourselves.
In my head this sounded like Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool.
