Summary

Amy Gleason, a health tech expert who worked on Trump's pandemic response, is now acting administrator of DOGE, though her authority remains unclear amid disputes over the agency’s true leader.

A federal judge questioned whether Musk’s role violates the Constitution’s appointments clause, forcing the Trump administration to abruptly confirm Gleason’s appointment after weeks of evasion. Yet Trump continues to publicly acknowledge Elon Musk as DOGE’s head.

Gleason, who founded the failed health tech company CareSync and later worked at the US Digital Service, has no prior ties to Musk but joined Trump’s transition team in December 2024.

This is just pushing their blatant lie. Everyone knows its elon. Trump even said so in his state of the union and only a complete idiot would believe it’s not elon

I agree that Elon is almost certainly running everything into the ground like he usually does, but I can't ignore the fact that he also likes to take credit for other people's work. So while it is highly unlikely, it's not impossible.

The placid smile of an idiot who doesn't yet realize she's the scapegoat.

She’ll have the smugness wiped from her face when she gets the Rudy Giuliani treatment lol

She'll absolutely try and grab a bag on the way out and took on this role willingly. Don't feel any pity for her.

Tbh she should face the wall with the rest of them.

worked on Trump’s pandemic response

Seems like she might be good at keeping shit off of her. That, or she’s failing upwards. I guess we’ll find out!

Pretty sure they fired every one else and she escaped that by being on vacation.

Which is sad because most of the people in her former agency (that became DOGE,) were basically career professionals that could have been making a lot more in the private sector.

She's there to take the blame when it all goes to shit.

[–] jonne@infosec.pub 6 points 2 days ago

Yeah, can't see it ending well for her.

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

All I see is a traitor with a leash around her neck.

She looks like she doesn't wipe properly.

[–] Crazyslinkz@lemmy.world 13 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Omg, my wife had a coworker, that appeared to be about that size, said to her that she doesn't wipe anymore as it's hard to reach...
