Whenever I remember the video of Geraldine (Dawn French) saying Alice died from cancer and suddenly, breaking down in tears (Dawn and Geraldine as they were mourning the character and the actress), I get a bit emotional, because as nutty, hilarious, dumb as Alice was, she was also a gentle person, a innocent at heart who never stopped being 12, who believed in the Easter Bunny and thought Uncle Bulgaria was gay and was a huge fan of the Teletubbies.

I never stop laughing at Alice's scenes but as funny as Alice was, I also wanted to be her friend. And Emma Chambers was phenomenal. She should have won every award in the business.

I still can't believe she died so young but I'm glad she left us this legacy. Alice Tinker will never be forgotten.
