You mean the UPS strike that hasn’t started yet?

[–] thessnake03@lemmy.world 10 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Aug 1 deadline. They got all week to work on it

Right. plenty of places have tricky contract negotiations. We can’t care about every single one of them. That being said, I’ve heard a lot in the news about this one. So I have no idea what OP is talking about. It’s got a lot of coverage for a strike that didn’t happen yet

Good question. Post some links to news?

Yeah, I'm not sure what OP is referring to, but I'd read up on it if there were links

I don't know for sure, but the teamsters have a checkered past that we all need to get the f over to support workers in any way we can.

old leadership of the union had sketchy connections. doesn't have anything to do with the workers today and I'd hope no one is persuaded against supporting the strike due to that stuff. Here's a good article from a trusted source that's been reporting on this consistently. https://therealnews.com/teamsters-union-freight-contract-truckers

UPS pilots are also going to strike with the teamsters.
