I mean, that's also true on slrpnk.net and midwest.social. I like beehaw, but ya'll ain't unique in being unshitty.

Relaxed section for discussion and debate that doesn't fit anywhere else. Whether it's advice, how your week is going, a link that's at the back of your mind, or something like that, it can likely go here.

Its a bit peculiar to jump into a thread made by a beehaw user in a beehaw community about beehaw being a nice place to scroll, and say "but we have that too!" Like, yeah, that's awesome, but this person is a beehaw user and is enjoying this aspect of beehaw. And sharing their enjoyment with other beehaw users in the beehaw chat community.
We can praise things without it meaning that other things are worse.
Seriously I never see these, I'm not on beehaw I'm just federated with it. People stop scrolling All. Set up subscribed already
But by scrolling All on beehaw, I get to see a wide variety of content I might not have known I wanted to see. Beehaw thins out the chaff while still allowing me to have a wider experience than I would scrolling Subscribed.
Sometimes if I feel particularly low in resilience to bullshit, I'll scroll Local or Subscribed, but its nice to have the option to scroll All without it being a cesspool.
There's still a button though, I do that every once in a while to discover new communities, then I go back in
I guess different approaches for different people. I spend 90% of my time on All, but only because I'm on beehaw where All isn't terrible
Even in my guest accounts for the bigger servers I stay on all, it’s how I used reddit too
Or even just block the community it's not that hard
the problem on lemmy world and sh it just works is that if you block the toxic users, there aren't any posts
also i don't think there should be any internet for rightwing pepes
@ErsatzCoalButter too bad. Here's a Romanian Pepe
(Context, so you don't throw rocks at me)
