I had kind of expected them to have set up individual accounts on holoplus (at least mirrors of talent's posts) but I guess not. Still, I guess this is better than them clinging to Xitter, and expecting them to have set up Misskey (would've been more on-brand than Mastodon) would've been a bit much - as fun as it is to imagine </3

Besides as a corporation they will go where most of the users are, which unfortunately isn't in the Fediverse

Well it’s not like they have to be on only one platform at a time, they could absolutely make a misskey/mastodon account too. I guess they probably just don’t know it exists/aren’t interested.

First Steam and now Hololive.

I wonder how big Bluesky will be in the coming months. I was interested in the platform and was going to self-host until I realized it wasn't really "decentralized" a few months ago. At least not like ActivityPub.

It's a step above Twitter/X at least I think.

Yeah it's not perfect but a great upgrade to Twitter at least

Yeah, but I think Bluesky makes more sense for most people tbh. Less (de)federation shenanigans to deal with as far as I know.
