Honestly, I like the somewhat bland interface of the web version of Lemmy. It works, it's performative, and not slow.
Asklemmy
A loosely moderated place to ask open-ended questions

- Open-ended question
- Not offensive: at this point, we do not have the bandwidth to moderate overtly political discussions. Assume best intent and be excellent to each other.
- Not regarding using or support for Lemmy: context, see the list of support communities and tools for finding communities below
- Not ad nauseam inducing: please make sure it is a question that would be new to most members
- An actual topic of discussion

Nitpick: itโs performant (capable of a high level of performance), but not performative (being done as a performance).
I've recently found Photon which is nice!
Voyager is very good on the phone and desktop.
I do have it on my phone, despite said phone running Android - it's great!
Never thought to use it on my desktop though, I'll have to give that a go.
Dev of Photon here, despite basically 3 comments being made about my client and getting 1 pull requests I am literally shaking lmao
Oh, hello there! In that case, thank you for your hard work ok Photon! It's a fantastic frontend to Lemmy and I hope that one day my frontend skills can even be a fraction of what yours are! ๐
Or alexandrite
It's truly fantastic and very promising!
Nice one, thanks
https://mlmym.org maybe. Depends what youโre looking for
I wasnโt necessarily looking for a Reddit clone. I am being spoiled by Memmy and want the same kind of customisable control on my PC.
Iโd love something like RES. For now I just stay on mobile, what I saw of interface when I made my account made me stay off. I do believe wefwef works though
Voyager is very good on the phone and desktop.
I genuinely couldnโt get on with it for some reason.
On mobile I think itโs hard to beat Memmy.
Itโs the desktop experience that I think is lacking.
I like Alexandrite so far
There was an earlier post where someone made a Dracula theme for Lemmy using userstyles for your browser.
https://userstyles.world/style/10759/draculemmy-a-dracula-theme-for-lemmy
https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/post/665490 (I don't know how to do a special Lemmy link to a specific post on your own instance, sorry :/)
I saw this, and itโs a decent paint job on the existing UI but I can help thinking how much I would like a dedicated client on windows.
mlmym.org if you still have withdrawal symptoms from leaving reddit. When youโre ready for a more modern look, alexandrite.app
Iโm not trying to replicate the look of Reddit. In fact I think that was shittier on desktop and used it exclusively on my phone.
Alexandrite.app looks interesting though. Thanks.
Just use Kbin.
