Songs of Conquest hits 1.0 and suddenly Ubisoft is dusting off an old franchise? Maybe I'm too cynical, but I'll wait for the reviews first

I feel like that should be the default stance. One thing that gives me hope is the early access release - there's a chance they're approaching the game seriously and will use it to make something great.

If you care about this - the developer Unfrozen is russian in origin (although they are trying to make everyone forget about it), one of the investors that funded their previous game (Iratus), GEM Capital, has ties with the russian gas and oil business.

Wow, it actually looks ok. Fuck, ubi, you better not screw this up!

They are legally obligated to do it at this point.

I have the fact that development studios are so beholden to publishers.

Doesnt matter, there will always be HoMaM III to play.

I got really excited, right up to the moment when I remembered that this will require uPlay.

Wow, this looks great! So many memories of Heroes 3. I was never able to bring myself to try the others, but this may bring me back if reviews are ok.
