Many of the changes and QoL improvements they are making will apply to the base game as well.

But you can bet your ass I'll be buying that DLC on day 1 in whatever form it takes.

The DLC will do very well.

It will be an insta buy for a significant percentage of the player base, and will also be overwhelmingly positive.

The only statement has been, "when it's done." Many are hoping for some time this year, and if you check out the recent Friday Facts, there's a lot of polish illustrated already, adding to the "soon" hype.
