Up until now, it hasn't really struck me how much the goblins have been left alone by the local adventurers guild.

They had female human captives right at the start, then the older generation attacked a caravan and captured more female humans.

Then the whole human adventurers party got wiped out and eaten a couple of episodes ago, although the guild would have no idea why that happened.

Those are the type of things that usually initiate beginners/low level "Stomp The Goblins" type quests to be posted on the guild's job board, followed by a steady stream of low-level adventurers hoping for some easy cash and leveling up past these type of jobs.

Anyway, the goblins are leveled up into fancy clothes to go with standard adventurer abilities, and get to fight a human troop of soldiers next.

From the way it seemed to be phrased, the regular kidnapping of other species for procreation sounds like it's a regular thing too.

Ah well, they've left it too late to stop them now :)

What's the draw of this anime? I've not seen an episode, but I was curious. It sounds a lot like a rape fetish anime

I wouldn't say that's exactly it, but it is a very bland wish fulfillment type of thing. I'll make the main character the strongest guy ever, who never loses, and who gets all the girls, and nobody can outsmart him, and he's got a robot arm...

I read the web novel ages ago, and I think its second part was more city/empire building? A bit like slime but more serious with a psychopath as the main character.

There's no rape here but it definitely looks like a wish fulfilment op mc harem as of now.

There's no rape

Again, I'm only reading comments and forums, but when I read 'sex slaves' or 'drugging to have sex with someone' or 'kidnapping for procreation' or 'stockholm syndrome', I can't imagine that there's no rape involved.

I had classic Goblin Slayer like rape in mind, but yes you're right, that's 100% Stockholm syndrome which is still rape.

The "kidnapped for procreation" part happened, but it was stopped by the MC.

It also happened before the MC was born (MC was born from rape).
