Everyone else: "HOW DENSE ARE YOU?"
Dense as a stack of books
Denser than the ancient text she reads.
Despite Rozemyne being on top of a food chain She is still aromantic, bookloving gremlin.
Just like some sort of radioactive material, everyone needs to be shielded from her by impenetrable material.
I have lost it when Trauerqual binded his foolish son.
Raublut screwed over Hildebrand pretty hard. Were we ever told why he encouraged Hildebrand to get his schtappe?
Last part, he needed access to the inner shrine
To elaborate a little more, he needed someone from the main royal family to open the door to the farthest hall (branch family members like Gervasio don't have the authority for that), so his Lanzenave allies could gain their divine wills. And fooling Hildebrand was just the easiest way to get the door open, and the least likely to give away their ture allegiance prematurely.
It seems like something of a long game, considering how Raublut was talking it up for months. But maybe so.
It is possible that Raublut was planning so far ahead, or he might just have made sure to befriend the prince, just in case it would become useful, or he might have had different plans initially, and then adapted to the new situation... or maybe he actually did feel warm toward the boy, but his devotion was so great he still used Hildebrand, despite their connection.
Considering how rather early on, Raublut encouraged Hildebrand to try to become the next Zent, I feel like Raublut having different plans and then adapting is the most likely option.
"okay two books."
I love our gremlin.
Sylvester getting a hint of what that negotiation between Ferdinand and Trauerqual was really like, and how much duress must have been in play... Along with Ferdinand's white hot anger that after all that, the Royal Family still tried to take Rozemyne from Ehrenfest.
Ferdinand creating a condition where the next Zent must nameswear to Rozemyne!
So many good bits in this part. Sigiswald showing how very very foolish and shallow he is, multiple times.
Hey! Don't spam so much. Just edit one comment.
Adolphine, telling Sigiswald to stop interrupting his betters. ✨
Great support from Aub Dunkelfelger, especially the defense of Ferdinand...
Ferdinand's dazzling smile that means he's out for blood... 😅
Rozemyne, just effortlessly Crushing everyone in the room without even being aware she's doing it...
Trauerqual, he's had a role to play that is often in opposition to Rozemyne and Ferdinand. The trug was certainly the last blow to him as a ruler. But he's not a bad guy, just someone trying to make things work. Him asking for permission to speak, and then binding Sigiswald, and apologizing and deferring to Rozemyne and Ferdinand, was a nice arc for him. He'll make a good aub of some random unclaimed duchy if he wants it, or maybe better, simply a nice retirement as an elder in one of the kids' duchies.
Considering how he's the only living person with experience in keeping the duchies in check, he'd probably be best as an advisor to Zent Eglantine, which I doubt would work if he's an Aub. Making him Eglantine's head scholar might be a good official designation for that purpose.
I like that, I agree that would make more sense than sending him away to be an Aub.
Hartmut actively basking in Rozemyne's crushing mana... 😅
