I can't remember the worst movie I've seen at home. I've seen so many lol. The worst theater movie had to be the one missed call remake. I watched the original Japanese film later and realized the missed important plot points that were vital to the story. Also it was neutered from a R rated Takashi Miike film to a boring pg-13 horror film. On the bright side it introduced me to Takashi Miike and I've been a fan ever since.

Sharktopus, bad in a fun kind of way though
I love terrible movies and have seen all sorts, but for my money the absolute worst I have seen is Boggy Creek II: And the Legend Continues. Absolutely nothing happens for the entire duration of the film until the last 5 minutes. The DVD I had claimed there was a "terrifying incident at the public lake", but it's just someone falling off a jetski and getting back on it.

War of the Worlds, 2005, it's the only film so bad I was genuinely angry about it after I'd seen it. Not just a bad film it wasted my time.
That's a bummer. It's one of my favorite movies. Granted I was a kid the first time I saw it

THE STEWARDESSES in 3D was the first film I ever walked out of.

We wanted something to entertain the kids while we got everything set up for dinner, and we find this. The kids seemed to enjoy it, but they're not the most reliable movie critics.

This movie is really really awful. ALL of the actors and actresses are so bad, it's not even good ironically. Just awful. I really don't mind B-Movies with a limited budget, as there are some out there, which are not bad. But this one in particular? The (badly made) rubber shark is a more convincing actor than any of the other protagonists of the movie. This movie is acted out so poorly that any movie you can watch on Sci-Fi are Hollywood quality in comparison. I dare you to watch the whole movie!
Mandy with Nicholas Cage takes the cake for me but it's so bad it's good. If I were going for just bad, it would probably have to be the last airbender movie...
Enemy with Jake Gyllenhaal is up there for me too, because FUCK that movie.
I remember seeing Mandy in theaters with my college dorm mates, and I will never forget how bizarre that experience was. I was in the mood for something more serious, but I should have known they would select something like that
I think calling Mandy so bad it's good is a massive misread of what Mandy was trying to do. It's a funny, over-the-top movie at a lot of points, deliberately.

What's wrong with Enemy? It's honestly one of my favorite movies.
It's overly artsy fartsy for me. I didn't "get it" and when the metaphor was explained to me I was disappointed. The spiders made no sense to me initially, and when I learned what it was supposed to be, it felt like garbage nonsense from planet bullshit.
This is an unconventional answer but stick with me:
The Bruce Willis Death Wish remake.
Movies are well known to have a so-bad-itβs-good factor. Aside from watching something made with passion fail, sometimes a failing movie can be mildly elevated by having an interesting choice or concept. Maybe a single actor who is really giving a go and creates a memorable scene.
Death Wish has none of that. It is a flatline of a movie. Nothing is ever done with passion, nor is it ever entertainingly incompetently. The entire movie is nothing but bare minimum technical competence. There are no bizarre plot twists, no unique action, no nothing. It simply exists.
Rubber... I mean it's so bad it's good.
Copper Mountain starring Jim Carrey. Basically a promo music video for some country band with skiing "action sequences" and some not funny impersonations. I have it just to show others the worst movie in existence.
