I’m posting from Memmy for Lemmy on iOS, but flip between it and Mlem as they out-update each other. Glorious days, these are.

[-] ndr@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

I’m using Memmy, Mlem, Liftoff, Thunder and wefwef lmao

You aren't wrong...

[-] sloonark@lemm.ee 16 points 1 year ago

Liftoff. I tried the rest but Liftoff seems the best.

[-] awesomejt@feddit.uk 16 points 1 year ago

Tried quite a few and enjoying WefWef the most right now, gets updates frequently too. It's a cross platform progressive web app and good ones are rare to see. https://wefwef.app/

[-] Tschuuuls@feddit.de 3 points 1 year ago

WefW

The frequency of updates is insane. Multiple updates a day at the moment lol. Still, I kinda miss Sync. I'm hyped for that.

Right now my main app is Liftoff, with Jerboa being a very close second.

[-] cityslicker343@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

What is it about liftoff that you like Vs the other apps that are in TestFlight

[-] Xandar437@feddit.nl 3 points 1 year ago

Tried most I could find on github and the playstore, and liftoff was the first that kinda ticked all the boxes. Only thing I'm missing is an option to view all account at once, with a filter for duplicated subscription posts.

[-] Leviathan@feddit.ch 3 points 1 year ago

I like the ability to navigate by swiping, and also Liftoff handles images better than any of the other apps. There's a slight loading delay on Connect and Jerboa, whereas in Liftoff, the image opens right away and you can easily swipe it away to close it.

[-] Lightmeter@lemmy.fmhy.ml 11 points 1 year ago

Wefwef.app I'm really enjoying it too

Currently I use Jerboa first, but if that doesn't work I switch to Connect, then Wefwef then just a web browser. All to wait for Sync for Lemmy to release.

Currently using wefwef, but I’m waiting to try the others that are available for iOS once they get out of the TestFlight stage.

[-] ndguardian@lemmy.studio 3 points 1 year ago

FYI Memmy is on the App Store now. It’s a slightly outdated version but there should be an update for that any day now.

Desktop browser. Firefox more specifically.

[-] TheTechNerd@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

Memmy

Btw I love the name Memmy for Lemmy😂

[-] eldrichhydralisk@lemmy.sdf.org 6 points 1 year ago

I just use the mobile website. It works and doesn't harass me to use something else, which are both huge improvements from Reddit!

The Mlem app deserves more attention. Wefwef is very good but Mlem should be in the mix. I switch between both.

Even though there are plenty of great and quickly evolving mobile apps, I use the web interface both on desktop and mobile devices. It's actually quite good, and since I'm a mod and instance admin, the feature completeness is key. Apps are not there yet.

[-] ram@lemmy.ramram.ink 5 points 1 year ago

Mozilla Firefox

Connect and wefwef. But also keeping an eye on the other apps when they get updated.

[-] flyingjake@lemmy.one 4 points 1 year ago

I've found myself defaulting to liftoff lately and not regretting it, but threads like these remind me to not get complacent! I found jerboa tough to get started with but decent after configuration was done. I like wefwef as well.

Fwiw I was a Boost user on Reddit

Memmy for Lemmy on iOS and Mac is awesome

[-] mp3@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 year ago
[-] AnusBesamus@feddit.de 4 points 1 year ago

Already in love with https://wefwef.app . Feels really snappy on both Android and iOS, really great job from the developers. Also copying the Apollo UI/UX made me feel comfortable since minute 1.

[-] PatientExpired@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Been using Memmy on iOS & the official website for Mac

[-] AngryDemonoid@lemmy.lylapol.com 4 points 1 year ago

I rotate between Jerboa, Connect, Liftoff, and Thunder. Lately, I've been using Jerboa the most though.

[-] Fizz@lemmy.nz 4 points 1 year ago

My eyes.. nah I use the regular lemmy website on my computer and wefwef/jeboa on mobile.

[-] AlmightySnoo@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

wefwef and Firefox!

[-] linearchaos@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

I have installed and tried all of them. Right now, WefWef running under Brave is winning on Android.

It's fast, the gestures are great The media works, I can resize and download images easily get to read and clear my inbox and see my post history.

[-] zeroblood@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 year ago

Thunder on Android. Waiting patiently for sync for lemmy.

Switching between Memmy and Mlem. They seem to compliment each other in missing features. Although as Mlem improves, I’ll probably stay there. I’m used to Apollo.

[-] Moghul@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

I use my eyes to read rule 3 of this community

I was using Firefox on android for a couple of weeks, with a link of my home screen to make it feel more like an app, but everything I left the app, Firefox would crash. I re-downloaded thr DuckDuckGo browser and tried the same thing with that, and had much more success.

I also downloaded and tried Jerboa, but it wouldn't remember my browsing preferences, always defaulting to Local communities, sorted by Active. Also, Day was the smallest increment under the Top sorting. None of that matched with my preferences.

[-] Bel_Shamharoth@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

I'm just using mobile Chrome until Sync for Lemmy is released.

Wefwef on iOS. I only wish I could block communities from it. Otherwise, it’s great and I love it!
