Out of curiosity, is it the same for anyone else?

I really wish it'd save your settings to force controller interface between sessions. I submitted a report around launch and it seems they still haven't implemented it. It's not a big deal, just mildly annoying.

There is a setting for "controller only" that I don't have on because there's a couple spots where the controller interface doesn't allow me to click on something embedded in walls; that might actually fix this little annoyance. But then you wouldn't be able to use the mouse or keyboard seamlessly without changing it back. Personally, the clicking on the walls thing is more of a problem, since it actually affects the flow of the game. I would like the stick controls to be "unlocked" and let me move that thing the same as the mouse. I would have thought it would be fixed by the time the PS5 version was launched, because some of those players are likely to experience these issues.

Have you tried to press and hold X (PS5) A (XBox) to do a search? It should show buttons, levers, and items you can interact with. At least it it’s the A button on the Xbox controller so I think it would be X on the ps5 controller.

You're in luck, the setting doesn't actually work. At least the last time I tried it. Also, you can move the cursor like a mouse when you click the left stick or change to turn based mode. And you can search your immediate area by holding down X (A with XBox like controllers).

No, no. I know that; I mean that when you have the free cursor up with the controller, it stops just short of certain triggers that are all the walls of some dungeons. Like there's a wheel that moves a door in Baldur's Gate itself that the controller cursor simply can not highlight.
