Agree. If you equate this to flying, road maps are like VFR (visual flight rules) where you must be looking out the window, and are responsible for flying into a mountain or tower.

There’s no way to mark every feature in a map or notification (NOTAM), so the pilot has ultimate responsibility with decision making and eyeballs.

Heck, even IFR maps aren’t perfect & require ATC coordination.

I almost feel like driving tests should be a little more stringent these days with how people are relying on GOS navigators. Look out the damn window and use your higher brain functions, people!
