It's not implemented yet and will be an ultra feature.
Settings shortcut: Sync Ultra > Push notifications
Paying for push notifications.. interesting
Definitely not a fan of that tbh. Seems like a standard feature to me.
INB4 "servers cost money to run and constantly polling them for your enjoyment is not savvy business for the dev" ๐ฎโ๐จ
Then let us poll the Instance server on a schedule client-side, like S4R did.. right now I have a task polling my inbox RSS feed periodically.
I'll be adding polling within the next week.
Initially I was holding off to not spam the servers with the influx of sync users and work with instances.
Is this still coming? There's a settings page for notifications, but will non-ultra users have any form of notifications? Seems like maybe it could be immediate notification for paid and intervals (once an hour, for example) for the free users.
But I admit that I'm not 100% clear on how polling works - it would just be nice.
Slow reply but I'm adding this at the moment.
โค๏ธ I'll take it! Thank you kindly! I definitely hate to put any more on your plate - but damn man, you are flying through the issues and requests!

Working towards a complete and stable app ๐๐ผ
Awesome ๐ค
Oof yeah agreed.
If it's the case for background polling, perhaps it could be done foreground while the Sync is being used?
Is the "notifications polled on an interval" placeholder page (no settings on it to link to) a placebo for plebs? A plebcebo if you will?
