Yes, I listened to a lecture recently discussing how heavy a burden and mentally/physically aging a grudge is (stress hormones), and that rememberance needs to evolve to the point of an interesting historical lesson, anything more is too taxing. And it lines up with Buddha saying resentment/anger is like swallowing poison, expecting the offender to die.

Another good expression, “forgiveness is a gift you give yourself.”

It also aligns with Stoicism. You can’t control what others do, you can only control your reaction to it.
