Kory Teneycke, Ford's campaign manager, has been publicly critical of Poilievre's campaign.

Given Ford's history, and the timing of the last Ontario election, it wouldn't be surprising if he wants to make a run for PM. That would be much easier if he could run against a Liberal in 2029.

He would have to learn French (doesn't seem likely) and enter a FAR more competitive federal environment than the cushy job he currently has where a mostly apathetic Ontario electorate votes him in by default every few years. I just don't see it. Going from Ontario premiere with a steady stream of majority governments to a topping out as federal opposition leader is arguably a demotion.
