Has anyone read Kikis Delivery Service?

I watched it after a few years this weekend and realised there is a book series. The first book has been translated to English, but the others haven’t.

Looking online it seems it’s often recommended for learning Japanese but I can only find French copies.

I knew it was coming but it still got me.

Most elegant time-skip ever. Usually, they aren't interwoven into the story itself.

Years and years ago. To my knowledge the other volumes have never been translated (at least not officially). The first book has the plot of the movie, so the other volumes would be new content.

Looks like only volume 1 was translated to English. I will stick the French or Japanese ones through machine translate when I get round to reading them.

The first book has the plot of the movie, so the other volumes would be new content.

Looking though the reviews the film is not a very true depiction of the book, so it may be all new content.
