I am writing this question because Musk did a Nazi salute, and after asking lemmy about it, and seeing the side by side video, and his seemingly mild response to people notixing it, I belive it was a Nazi salute.

So the "now what?" is in response to what seems like a tepid reaction from society.

Will Ameeica become even more unsafe for even more minorities?

Are people organizing or have they lost hope? should there be an organized boycott on Teslas or companies that spend money on twitter? Would it even matter?

Is this unstoppable and it actually makes more sense to flee?

Does your husband or brother know your on the Internet? /S I couldn't hear you with that boot in your mouth. Do you have any idea of how much a billion is?

[–] shinigamiookamiryuu@lemm.ee -1 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Yes, a billion is one followed by nine zeroes. Nothing in the number necessitates only theft can achieve it, especially in instances when someone's living takes place in or deals with the public sector.

It should be noted the Mangiones were deeper in the wealth game than Thompson. Yet nobody ever hears anyone say they're guilty of theft. Resorting to jabs like not being able to hear someone over having a boot in their mouth (I encourage getting one's hearing checked if they hear a boot) in order to support someone from a rich family ending the life of someone of a lesser origin with similar intentions who was given the position second-hand, all ironically in the name of wealth, especially when a lawsuit would've done the trick, seems more like the inclination to blind support that Luigi's critics are accused of.

I meant in tangible terms. How much time is a million seconds? How much time is a billion seconds? Or the difference between a millionaire and a billionaire is? Or the fact that you hide behind paperwork and morally grey laws doesn't make you any less of a killer and if your leadership, direction, and decisions lead to the death of 1000s of your countryman you are a traitor and a mass murderer. Nobody cries when the mob boss gets whacked. Maybe his wife, and the toadies. Ya dig?

That's the thing. Laws don't define murder, ethics do. To put it in technical terms, causing the end of one's life, when unnecessary, amounts to consequentialism as it's a form of escalation. Actual self-defense, as in something like killing a bank robber whom there is reason to believe will murder someone, is not escalation, since the same level of threat has already entered the picture. If anything, Thompson's bureaucrats (so not even Thompson himself, since the CEO does not make every decision, with the CEO's before him from whom he would have gotten his wealth making maybe a few dozen dollars an hour according to the estimated math of 1000000000 ÷ 10 x 8 x 7 x 52 x 50, which is not unrealistic for a medical association, especially given you encompass more than a single measly role when in charge), unlike an actual mob boss who would be engaging in actual murder (which describes a lot of Luigi's supporters), had committed a form of denial, not action, based on things foreshadowed by contract between professional and client, neither of which was Luigi, whose notes carried with him would seem to imply it was for positive recognition as opposed to justice anyways, all while the fingers start pointing not just to the person Luigi's supporters accuse of murder but now everyone who even politically leans towards the concept of money, as well as the individuals at the McDonald's where he was caught, who were review-bombed and threatened because of the moral illness plaguing the souls of the hardcore supporters, which many treat as par for the course.
