Poilievre says Trudeau has governed with "an extremely radical ideology" that is "basically authoritarian socialism," and says the NDP would have done exactly the same if they were in power.

He also says "it is a classic for socialists" to try to disown what they've done and change their names.

"First they were communists, and then they became socialist, and then they became social democrats, and then they became β€” they stole the word liberal, and then they ruined that word. They changed their name to progressives, and then they changed their name to woke. And now they claim they don't want to be called woke anymore," he said.

Imagine believing this for real.

Quite unlike Poilievre ally and ultra conservative Danielle Smith who is actually trying to run a centrally planned economy and telling people how they can and cannot live their lives. Cause that's totally not Soviet style Communism.

Oh gods... the man really is an idiot. :( At least Harper was shrewd.

He may be too dumb to be effective politically, I hope.

That's what people thought about the orange turd in 2016. Turns out you don't need to be smart to cause irreparable damage.

I'm trying to think of anything that Trump did that I would classify as socialism and I'm coming up empty. One could argue about the COVID vaccine but that only fits if you squint and look at it from the right angle.
